Tortoises master touch screen technology in exchange for strawberries
A TEAM OF researchers have successfully taught tortoises how to use touch-screen technology.
The red-footed tortoises mastered the technology in exchange for strawberries as part of a study into the animals’ navigational techniques.
The study was a collaboration between the University of Lincoln and the University of Vienna in Austria. “It was surprisingly easy to train them,” Anna Wilkinson, one of the study’s lead researchers told The Dodo.
